A Certified Professional Constructor and licensed general contractor, David Mattson has more than 40 years experience with all the aspects of real estate, capital improvement, development and construction in a wide variety of urban and industrial project assignments.
Later while working as a capital development executive for the likes of Opus, State Farm, Starwood International, David had the responsibility of contracting and managing both design and the construction process on an active basis.

Kelly has over 20+ Years working in senior level leadership with several of Arizona’s top General Contractors.
Since graduating from the Construction Division of the engineering college at ASU, Scott has amassed 40 years of project management and commercial estimating experience. He spent 23 years as vice president /director of operations for a medium sized general contractor with an annual volume of $70,000,000. Scott is incredibly well versed in conceptual and preliminary budget estimates and has held a commercial contractors license for a number of years
Pre Construction Manager
Mr. Swanson has over 26 years of experience in the construction industry. Throughout his career, he has been involved in all aspects of construction acting as a Project Manager for construction firms, architectural firms and private developers. Chip’s broad range of experience provides him with the ability to understand the project in it’s entirety, and manage it in a way that provides his clients with value-added construction services by creating a partnership with them throughout the construction process.
Dan Starkey brings over 34 years of experience in project management, consulting, and senior supervision. Dan has overseen numerous project types and most importantly, knows how to run a safe and successful project site. His relations with sub-contractors on site has always been extremely positive, while demanding excellence, quality production, and a respectful working environment. His knowledge and understanding of the new build/banking arena will serve you as the client above and beyond its’ requirements and specifications.
Phoenix Rescue Mission
The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a charitable organization that offers a number of Christian programs and services for men, women, and children in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area who are struggling with homelessness, drug addiction, and trauma. Rick Cohen, President of MACO Construction, serves as an active board member for the Phoenix Rescue Mission.
Mesa HoHokam Foundation
The Mesa HoHoKams are a group of civic volunteers dedicated to Major League Baseball Spring Training in Mesa, Arizona, and to raising funds for local charities and kids' sports. Dave Mattson, CEO of MACO Construction, serves as President for the Foundation.
MACO’s founders believe that is important for all company employees to be empowered to be able to participate in both formal and formal situations where they can “give back” to our community. Our employees have chosen to get involved and often to provide leadership with a variety of programs that include: promoting healthy lifestyles; physical fitness; Church, School and Community events; and fundraising are among the activities our employees have or are currently involved with in our community.
